Unity becomes diversity: 46 paper-thin glass bodies form a sculpture. In the mass they appear homogeneous, but viewed individually, no two are alike. Yet their origins are identical: the same raw material, the same amount of glass and porcelain undergo the same work process. In the firing process, unity becomes diversity - and the identical glass blanks become individual shapes.

The number 46 refers to the human chromosome set.
